At the risk of sounding like someone that complains about every tv episode ending, after watching the Season 3 Finale of Weeds, I was quite disappointed.
If you haven’t watched it yet, dont read on…
There wasn’t that much that happened in that episode. The fire that started in the grow-fields spread across and took over many peoples’ homes. Everyone is told to evacuate, and they are all moved to a centre further away. Nancy feels guilty, goes to meet with the guy she hired for protection, and he says something to her that hits a nerve and she realises she doesn’t want to stay in Majestic forever. She goes back to her house, sets it on fire, tells Andy to get the kids ready as they’re leaving, and drives away on her little electronic scooter thing (forgot what they’re called). Oh yeah, maybe I did forget the main point. The police find the plants in Celia’s home, bring her in, and she rats on Nancy. But nothing happens about that yet.
I would have thought that the ending would be a much bigger cliffhanger than that. Something that would have left you thinking “Oh no I can’t believe it’s so long until the next season.” But it doesn’t do that, you just think “Oh….Ok”.
Still, Season 3 has been a great season of Weeds, it definitely became much funnier and the addition of Mary-Kate Olsen playing Tara made it much more fresh and just seemed to bring a new sense of youth to the series.
