I came across this site: http://analogik.com/acid_trip/acid_trip.html
It basically shows an experiment, where an artist was given a dose of LSD and made to produce different drawings throughout the time that the LSD was going through his system. It documents the drawings as well as the reactions of the artist.
I thought it was really interesting how the drawings varied so much over time as he was “tripping”. To be honest, I always thought that if artists were high on drugs, there drawings can sometimes increase in quality. Of course, this one example doesn’t represent every artist out there, it probably depends on the person themselves, and their drug level tolerance.
I would absolutely love to conduct this kind of experiment (wouldn’t mind being the artist either lol), but with an artist that uses drugs to improve his art. I think it would be really amazing to see the other side of the story that this example is showing, because I know that there are people out there who can let their creativity flow much easier when under the influence of drugs.
If you come across anything like that, do let me know.

wow, thanks for the link! That was really interesting. It seemed as if he didn’t have very much control over what he was doing while high, which is to be expected, for sure, but the differences in time in between drawings was unexpected (for me, especially the three in quick succession).

Yeah and it seemed to really take it out of him by the end, as the extra notes by the people carrying out the experiment made it seemed as though he didn’t even want to do the final drawing. I wonder if focusing on something like art while you’re high takes more out of you than whatever that person would normally do.
And thanks, you were my first ever comment
