I really enjoyed the last episode of Ugly Betty (Season 2, Episode 9). I thought that the plot was very well thought out, as there were unexpected twists and contained lots of action.
The plot went as follows: It is Bradford’s funeral, and Wilhemina shows up. Daniel and Alexis fire her, which of course enrages her. She immediately returns to the Mode offices, and retrieves a hidden disk, which she then proceeds to use to delete every single file on each computer at Mode. As usual, Betty saves the day. She finds out about this and alerts every member of staff, as they only have a few hours before the magazine needs to go to the printers. However, Wilhemina shows up with her new magazine idea, Slater, and takes away the majority of their staff. Then it is the usual bit of uplifting talk from Betty to Daniel, which motivates him, and he produces a memorable front page in honour of his father.
You also see a different, much more vulnerable, side to Wilhemina, as she fails to find financial backing for her new magazine. I don’t know how many other people felt this way, but I definitely did feel a bit sorry for her, even though she could be classed as “evil”.
There are 4 more episodes of Ugly Betty to be aired before the end of the season. The next one will be aired on the 6th December 2007 and is called Bananas For Betty. The season ends with A Thousand Words By Friday on the 17th January 2008.
