Have you ever wondered just how many people there are working on the voices for the Simpsons characters? The above video shows just two men who do the voices of Homer Simpson, Krusty, Groundskeeper Willy, Dr Hibbert, Mr Burns, Principle SKinner and more.
It really is amazing to watch it. A show that has been around for so long and sometimes you never actually realise what happens behind the scenes.
Even though the two men are just improvising, the jokes are still funny and this is mainly due to the voices that they choose to use. The voices that we have known and loved over the years will automatically be seen as comical, especially when you are watching the voices come out of two human men instead of yellow cartoon characters!

Stewie Griffin is arguably one of the most popular Family Guy characters. Voiced by Seth MacFarlene, his character is that of an evil baby genius, who has a main goal of world domination.
There are many discussions on whether or not Stewie can actually be heard by others and because of this, Seth MacFarlene established some basic rules on the situation. He decided that Brian would always be able to understand Stewie. There may be a chance that Brian can also see into Stewie’s thoughts, but this has not yet been explored fully. Other adults, such as his parents, understand Stewie but disregard whatever he says because he is a baby.
Stewie’s character became so popular that even the Family Guy movie focused on him. There were talks of Stewie realising he was gay in the movie, but the producers never followed this idea through, as the writers decided that the ambiguity gave them more creative freedom.
Stewie’s character has also been embraced by other shows, and he has made many other television appearances. The more well known ones include performing a musical number at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards, insulting 50 Cent on the 20th Annual MTV Music Video Awards (click here for video clip), and he has often appeared on the MSNBC News programme, Countdown With Keith Olbermann.
Set for a duration of five weeks this winter, (1st December 07 – 6th January 08) the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will not only feature London’s largest open air ice rink, but will also contain more fun and games for the whole family.

There has been much confusion over the fourth season of popular TV show Lost, due to the writers’ strike. As there were so many complaints about showing reruns, they will continue to produce episodes, with 16 being made instead of 24, as an effort to boost the quality of the content. These will begin to air starting the week of 4th February 2008.
Before the strike began, 8 episodes had been produced, and these will definitely be shown next year. Lost is one of the few shows that are expected to continue airing new episodes during the strike, which could be due to the fact that the ratings have gone down, and they will probably be moved to an earlier time slow, in the hope of gaining a larger family audience.
Spoilers:
There have not been as many spoilers released for the upcoming season as there have been in the past, with producers deciding to keep much more quiet about it this time, allowing for more public speculation. However, some things are known:
Something is coming to the island that is “a lot worse” than the Others
Whether or not Kate is having Sawyer’s baby will be revealed in the first 4 episodes
The fate of Sun and her unborn child will be shown
This season is said to be much more violent and scarier than previous seasons
Keeping the last point in mind, it is surprising that the network wants to expand its family audience, as violent and scary shows are something that families rarely watch together.
Still, we’ll have to wait until next year to find out exactly what happens.
Tag Heuer have announced that they are going to launch a mobile phone in the second half of 2008. More commonly known for their watches, the company also expanded into the luxury sunglasses market, finding great success. They increased this by using celebrities in their advertising, choosing high profile people such as Brad Pitt and Tiger Woods, broadening the potential of the brand.
So far, they have licensed out their name to a French company, Modelabs, that specialise in custom design manufacturing. Tag Heuer have followed in the steps of other famous fashion brands that have launched mobile phones, the two most popular being Prada and Armani. Prada joined forces with LG Electronics, while Armani teamed up with Samsung.
It is not yet known how much the phone will cost, but it is rumoured (and probably correctly so), that the phone will be priced towards the higher end of the market.
The theme of blackmail is right at the forefront of the latest Desperate Housewives episode. It’s extremely clever the way in which the plot unfolds, with one character starting a whole chain of blackmail just to get what he wants. Here’s how it goes:
Mike finds out a secret of Adams —-> In order to keep the secret, he asks Adam for a prescription (he is addicted to the pills) —-> Adam can’t give it to him as he is a gyno and can’t give prescriptions to a man —-> Adam goes to Orson and uses the fact that he knows that baby Benjamin is Danielle’s baby and not Bree’s, to get Orson write the prescription so that Mike will stay quiet —> Orson goes to give it to Mike, but asks lots of questions and tells him it is the wrong way to go —-> Mike brings up the hit and run accident and says that is why his shoulder is hurting (Orson was the one that ran him over) —-> Orson hands over the prescription straight away.
In the end, it all turns out to be for nothing. Susan finds out that Mike is still taking the pills, even after promising that he wouldn’t. Now that Mike’s secret is about to come out, it’s not going to be long before the rest of them do as well.

There was once a site called TV-Links, which got shut down as it contained links to pirated content. A 26 year old man from Cheltenham, UK, was arrested, even though he wasn’t actually providing the pirated content but only telling you where to go if you wanted to find it.
This outraged many people across the world. He hadn’t actually done anything wrong, but he was still charged for “facilitation” of copyright infringements. The whole move was an effort to crack down on piracy, but instead of finding the people that actually host pirated content, they went for the middle man.
Nevertheless, there are still many sites out there that allow you to stream and watch your favourite movies and tv shows online for free. Closing down TV-Links seems to have made all the smaller streaming sites out there suddenly expand and rise up to the challenge of being the best for the latest shows/movies.
